DPM – Dipropylene Glycol – Available in 1 and 5 Liters
Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent base for use with reed diffusers. Non-hazardous, does not trigger hazard statements or pictograms. Now available in 1 and 5 litre sizes.
This versatile and effective solvent, fully soluble in water, is the ideal ally for the design of home fragrances diffused by sticks. Its ability to dilute fragrances ensures a slow and homogeneous diffusion of the fragrance in the ambient air, thus enriching your environment with delicate and persistent scents.
It is a slow evaporating solvent and an excellent fragrance carrier for reed diffusers, environmentally friendly and allergen-free.
This synthetic product is suitable for the addition of solvent-based dyes and can be used in reed diffusers and car diffusers.
DPM can impact the performance of sweet fragrances , such as musk or cotton flower scents.
Use and dosage of dipropylene glycol
This combination, placed in a suitable container, will diffuse a pleasant and constant fragrance in your living space.
Ideal for a balanced diffusion of fragrances in fiber stick diffusers.
We recommend two formulations:
- 15-25% fragrance, 75-85% DPM
- 15% perfume, 15% DPM , 70% ethanol (alcohol)
Mix the fragrance oil with the DPM and stir slowly and thoroughly until the solution is clear. Let sit for 2-3 days before use .
A higher flash point than Dowanol™ PM, ensuring safer handling and storage.
The solvent in its raw state gives off a slight ether-like odor.
